Katie Goar has been with Quadel since 2007 and has served as president since 2015. She leads the company with a focus on client service, organizational culture, and operational performance, helping strengthen Quadel’s reputation with clients while fostering a workplace that supports employee engagement and retention.

Katie brings extensive experience across the affordable housing industry, including roles in city government, public housing authority management, and oversight of a 60,000-unit multifamily portfolio. As president, she oversees company performance and client relationships across Quadel and its subsidiary offices in Phoenix, Memphis, Indianapolis, Raleigh, Baltimore, and Miami.

A nationally recognized affordable housing leader, Forbes Books author, and speaker, Katie brings both professional expertise and lived experience to conversations about housing, leadership, opportunity, and community impact. She is the author of the book, Audacity: Go From Wannabe Leader to the Leader Others Wannabe, published by Forbes Books. In 2024, she shared her personal story on the TEDx stage, exploring how a hand up, not a handout, can transform lives and communities. She also hosts ChangeMakers, a Forbes partnership podcast featuring innovators and leaders shaping the future of affordable housing, and is a member of the Authority Collective, an invitation-only community curated by Forbes Books that brings together executives and thought leaders committed to growth, influence, and impact.

Katie was named one of Affordable Housing News magazine’s Power Women in 2023 and Resilient Leaders in 2024, one of Indy Maven’s Women to Watch in 2025, and one of the Women’s Affordable Housing Network’s 50 Over 50 Women of Influence in Affordable Housing in 2026. She was instrumental in founding the Women of NAHRO subcommittee and serves on the National Leased Housing Association’s Board of Directors.

Katie has also taught public management, organization, and policy at Indiana University-Purdue University. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Anderson University and a Master of Public Administration, with a focus on policy analysis, from Indiana University.
